After setting the box office on fire, Vicky Kaushal’s epic historical drama Chhaava is all set to reach your living room screens. If you missed catching this cinematic spectacle in theatres, here’s some good news — Chhaava is all set for its OTT debut next week.
Chhaava to Stream on Netflix from April 11?
According to reports, Chhaava will premiere on Netflix on April 11, following a sensational two-month theatrical run. The film hit theatres on February 14 this year and quickly became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2025 so far.
While Netflix has not officially announced the release date yet, the buzz is strong around Chhaava arriving on the platform next week — perfectly in line with the industry’s 60-day window between theatrical and digital releases.
The Film That Made History — On and Off Screen
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava is based on the life of the fearless Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Not only did the movie win hearts, but it also shattered box office records. It has so far collected a jaw-dropping ₹597.16 crore net in India (as of Day 51), and its worldwide gross stands at an impressive ₹801.35 crore.
The film was declared tax-free in multiple states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa. Chhaava also received praise from several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, further boosting its popularity.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film features stellar performances from Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta.
The Box Office King of 2025
With Chhaava ranking as the eighth highest-grossing Hindi film of all time and the thirteenth highest-grossing Indian film overall, the OTT release is expected to draw massive viewership. Fans who couldn’t make it to the theatres can finally experience this larger-than-life story from the comfort of their homes.
