Tata Motors has made a significant move to enhance the appeal of its electric vehicles (EVs) with substantial price reductions on popular models. As part of its “Festival of Cars” campaign, the company has introduced discounts of up to ₹3 lakh on its Nexon.ev and Punch.ev models, aiming to make EVs more accessible to Indian consumers.

Price Reductions on Tata Motors EVs

Tata Motors’ price cuts are designed to bring EVs closer in price to their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. Here’s a breakdown of the new prices and discounts:

  • Nexon.ev: Now starts at ₹12.49 lakh, with savings of up to ₹3 lakh.
  • Punch.ev: Now starts at ₹9.99 lakh, with discounts of up to ₹1.20 lakh.
  • Tiago.ev: Price remains unchanged at ₹7.99 lakh.

These price reductions are part of Tata’s strategy to overcome the primary barrier to EV adoption—high upfront costs. The company is also offering six months of free charging at over 5,500 Tata Power charging stations across India, adding further value to the purchase.
