Talking Crow in Maharashtra Becomes Internet Sensation – Netizens Amazed by Its Intelligence

In a heartwarming tale that has captured the internet’s attention, a crow from Palghar, Maharashtra, has stunned netizens with its ability to mimic human speech. The bird, rescued by local resident Mangalya Munke as an injured 15-day-old chick, has not only become a beloved family member but also developed an impressive vocabulary.
According to a report by India Today, the crow, now fully grown, comfortably perches on shoulders, hops around the house, and even engages in conversation. It greets the family with Marathi words like “Aai” (mother) and “Baba” (father) and has picked up phrases such as “What are you doing?” and “Why did you come home?”
What’s even more fascinating is the crow’s protective nature—when strangers approach the house, it reportedly asks, “What is your work?” The bird also repeats the names of family members when called, despite never being formally trained.
Despite its freedom to fly with other crows during the day, the bird always returns home before sunset, showing a deep bond with the Munke family. “It talks to us now. It calls us by name. We didn’t teach it, it just picked it up,” said Tanju Munke, Mangalya’s wife.
The viral videos have drawn crowds from nearby villages, with many hoping to hear the crow speak. Social media users have been equally amazed, with some joking, “Parrots are silent since this dropped,” while others quipped, “Parrots’ careers are in danger.”
One user also wittily commented, “Poora tota samaj dara hua h”.
This extraordinary story highlights not just the intelligence of crows but also the profound connections that can form between humans and animals.
