Pune: Two Tourists Drown, One Rescued in Critical Condition at Tarkarli Beach

In a tragic incident at Tarkarli Beach in Malvan, two tourists from Pune drowned, while a third one was rescued in a critical condition on Saturday, police said.
A group of five tourists had ventured into the sea for a swim in the afternoon when three of them were caught in strong currents. Local residents managed to rescue one person, but the other two were swept away.
The deceased have been identified as Shubham Sushil Sonawane and Rohit Balasaheb Koli. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The rescued individual is currently receiving treatment at the district hospital, where his condition remains critical.
Authorities have urged visitors to exercise caution while swimming at Tarkarli Beach, known for its strong tides.
