Pune: Two students killed in truck accident on Nagar Road
On Monday night, two young lives suddenly and tragically ended on Nagar Road, Pune. At around 10:30 PM, a truck, out of control, crashed into a two-wheeler carrying two students. The impact was so severe that one of the students lost his life instantly, while the other passed away while receiving medical treatment at Sassoon Hospital.
The victims were identified as Adil Shaikh and Pahad Shaikh. Both came from Latur and were pursuing their studies at Raisoni College. Adil passed away at the site of the accident, while succumbed to injuried at Sassoon Hospital. This information was shared by Moshin Pathan, a resident of Khandve Nagar, who rushed to help the victims after the accident.
As per Moshin’s account, the truck driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, didn’t stop after hitting the two-wheeler at Jakatnaka on Nagar Road. Instead, he dragged the bike for a shocking 800 meters before coming to a halt.
Moshin has lodged a complaint with the Viman Nagar police regarding this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
