Pune: Two College Students Drown in Kasarsai Dam, Near Hinjawadi

PUNE: Two college students drowned on Wednesday afternoon in the Kasarsai dam near Hinjewadi. The tragic incident involved Murali Krishna Bolla (21), residing in Koregaon Park, and Kunal Dubey (21) from Keshavnagar in Mundhwa, both students of a degree college in the city.
Rescue teams from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Wanyajeev Rakshak Maval recovered the bodies from the dam’s water. The Pimpri Chinchwad police identified the victims and confirmed the details.
According to the police, Bolla and Dubey went to the Kasarsai dam for an outing with four friends. The duo entered the water to swim but tragically drowned due to misjudgment of water depth. Rescue teams responded promptly and recovered the students and transported them to a hospital.
