Pune: Tragic Family Dispute Turns Fatal as Man Dies After Falling from Balcony; Cousin Arrested

A tragic family dispute in Dhayari, Pune, turned deadly when a 35-year-old man fell from a balcony during a heated altercation with his cousin. The incident occurred on Friday evening around 8:30 PM at Kapil Apartment, Matenagar, located on Sinhagad Road. The deceased, identified as Amar Kisan Deshmukh, succumbed to severe head injuries after being pushed by his cousin, Raju Bhurelal Deshmukh, during the argument.

According to police reports, Amar and Raju, both originally from Madhya Pradesh, worked together at a food production company. The altercation began when Raju allegedly made offensive remarks about Amar’s wife, escalating into a physical confrontation. During the scuffle, Raju pushed Amar, causing him to fall from the balcony. Neighbors rushed Amar to a private hospital, but he died during treatment.

The Nanded City Police arrested Raju following an investigation led by Inspector Gurudutt More. A complaint was filed by Mohapat Hariram Sahare (36) at the Nanded City Police Station. Both the accused and the deceased resided in the same building.
