Pune: Traffic Restrictions Announced for Hinjawadi, Balewadi Due to VIP Event on Feb 22
Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have announced major traffic changes in Hinjawadi, Balewadi, and surrounding areas due to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Phase 2.0 inauguration at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, on February 22. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be attending the event.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar has urged citizens to cooperate with the traffic modifications, which will be in effect throughout the day.
Traffic Restrictions and Alternate Routes:
- Heavy Vehicles:
- Chande-Nande to Radha Chowk: Heavy vehicles must take a left at Godrej Circle, pass through Maan and Hinjawadi, and proceed to their destination.
- Balewadi Jakat Naka & Baner to Radha Chowk: Take a right at Radha Chowk and proceed via Wakad Naka or Hinjawadi.
- Sus Bridge (NH) to Radha Chowk: Avoid Radha Chowk and use Wakad Naka and Hinjawadi.
- Road Closure Near Balewadi Stadium:
- The road from Mhalunge Police Post to Puneri Sweet (Shitlai Devi Chowk) will be closed for all vehicles.
- Alternate Routes:
- Vehicles from Chande, Nande, and Mhalunge towards Radha Chowk should take a right at Puneri Sweet Square and go via Mhalunge Police Post Chowk.
- Vehicles from Radha Chowk towards Chande-Nande and Mhalunge should take a left from Mhalunge Police Post.
Motorists traveling through Hinjawadi, Balewadi, Baner, and Wakad are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid congestion.
