The police have urged citizens to report motorcycles with modified silencers via X, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

Additionally, the Pune City Traffic Police have initiated a drive to remove abandoned vehicles occupying city roads. Officers are pasting notices on these vehicles, giving owners three days to remove them. If unclaimed, the vehicles will be seized as unclaimed property.

Reportedly, there are over 4,000 abandoned vehicles in Pune. Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil stated, “In the last one week, we have seized 139 vehicles, including private cars and two-wheelers. Sufficient time was provided to vehicle owners to claim their vehicles, but they did not respond to the notices.”
