Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Punyatithi in Shirur
Pune, March 27: The Pune district administration has announced traffic diversions in Shirur taluka for the observance of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s Punyatithi. As per the orders issued by District Collector and District Magistrate Jitendra Dudi, these changes will be in effect from March 28 at 10 PM until March 29 at 10 AM.
During this period, heavy and goods transport vehicles, including trucks and tempos, will face route restrictions. Additionally, vehicles carrying devotees will not be allowed beyond designated stop points.
As per the new traffic plan:
- Heavy vehicles traveling from Koregaon Bhima towards Chakan or Pabal via Vadhu Budruk will be diverted via Koregaon Bhima – Sanswadi – Shikrapur Gas Phata – Wazewadi Chowphula – Chakan/Pabal route.
- Heavy vehicles coming from Chakan/Pabal towards Pune via Vadhu Budruk and Koregaon Bhima will be diverted via Wazewadi Chowphula – Gas Phata – Shikrapur – Sanswadi – Koregaon Bhima route.
- Devotee vehicles from Koregaon Bhima to Vadhu will not be permitted beyond the stop point near Maaher Sanstha.
These restrictions aim to manage traffic flow and ensure smooth movement during the event.
