Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced for Army Day Parade Preparations

Pune Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions across the city as part of preparations for the upcoming Army Day parade. The restrictions will be enforced from 7 am to 11 am daily, starting Saturday, 11 January, through Wednesday, 15 January, affecting key areas such as Yerwada, Vishrantwadi, and Khadki.

Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Amol Zende, has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and use designated alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic Diversions Announced:

  • Shadalbaba Chowk to Kharadi via Chandrama Chowk: Closed. Commuters are advised to use Ambedkar Chowk, Alandi Junction, and Sapras Juna Holkar Bridge instead.
  • Vishrantwadi to Khadki via Holkar Bridge: Inaccessible. Alternatives include Vishrantwadi, Sapras Old Holkar Bridge, Shadalbaba, Sangamwadi, and Patil Estate.
  • Bopodi Chowk to Khadki Bazaar: Traffic diverted via Wakdewadi Patil Estate.
  • Aathmula Road from Poultry Farm Chowk: Access restricted. Drivers are directed to use Wakdewadi, Patil Estate-Sangamwadi, and Shadalbaba Road.

Motorists are encouraged to follow these alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow during the parade preparation period.
