Pune: Starting today all stations of Pune Metro are operational, check latest time-table
Starting September 30, 2024, Pune Metro will extend its passenger services across all stations, including District Court, Kasba Peth (Budhwar Peth), Mandai, and Swargate. The metro will operate on both the Purple and Aqua lines, further enhancing the city’s public transportation system.
Purple Line Operations: The Purple Line, which runs from PCMC to Swargate, will operate daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During peak hours (8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM), trains will run every 7 minutes, while in non-peak hours, they will operate every 10 minutes. Covering a distance of 17.5 kilometers, the journey between PCMC and Swargate will take approximately 34 minutes.
Aqua Line Operations: The Aqua Line, connecting Vanaz to Ramwadi, will follow a similar schedule. The trains will also run from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a 7-minute frequency during peak times and a 10-minute interval during other hours. This route will span 14.5 kilometers, taking about 37 minutes to complete.
This comprehensive expansion marks a significant milestone for Pune’s public transport, offering improved connectivity and convenience for thousands of commuters daily. The initiative promotes public transportation usage across the city, aiming to reduce road congestion and provide a more efficient travel experience for residents.
