Pune: Speeding Bike Loses Control on Mumbai-Bengaluru Bypass, Young Life Lost

Pune: A tragic accident occurred on the Mumbai-Bengaluru bypass near Warje when a speeding bike lost control, leading to the death of a young pillion rider. The Warje Malwadi police have filed a case against the bike rider for reckless driving.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Jay Bhagwan Avghad, a resident of Akshara PG, Laxmi Chowk, Hinjawadi Phase 1. The bike rider, 24-year-old Shubham Bhausaheb Kakade, also a resident of the same PG, sustained injuries in the accident. Jay’s father, Bhagwan Sukhdev Avghad (48), a resident of Wakluni, Badnapur, Jalna, has lodged a complaint with the police.
According to the police, the incident took place around 12:30 PM on Sunday (March 30). Shubham and Jay were riding on the Mumbai-Bengaluru bypass when the speeding bike lost control near a sweet shop in Warje. The bike skidded, causing severe head injuries to Jay, while Shubham also sustained injuries.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene and admitted both to a private hospital, where Jay succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police Sub-Inspector Naikwade is investigating the case.
