Pune: Ravet Gets Direct PMPML Bus Connectivity to Hinjawadi Phase 3 & Pimpri

In a significant move to ease commuting for IT professionals and residents, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has launched two new bus routes—connecting Ravet to Hinjawadi Phase 3 and Pimpri. The initiative aims to address the long-standing demand for direct public transport in the rapidly developing Ravet area.
New Bus Routes & Their Benefits
- Route No. 375 (Ravet to Hinjawadi Phase 3): Designed primarily for IT professionals and employees working in Hinjawadi’s tech hub.
- Route No. 13 (Ravet to Pimpri): Enhances connectivity to Pimpri’s commercial and industrial zones.
With these additions, daily commuters will no longer need to rely on private vehicles or shared transport, reducing travel hassles and promoting sustainable mobility.
Addressing Urban Transport Challenges
Ravet has witnessed rapid urbanization, with numerous residential societies emerging. However, the lack of direct public transport to Hinjawadi—a major employment hub—forced residents into inconvenient travel arrangements. PMPML’s new routes aim to bridge this gap while aligning with their revised strategy for financially sustainable route expansion.
Currently, PMPML operates 472 routes across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the PMRDA region, though many run at a loss. The corporation is optimizing operations by introducing demand-driven routes like these to improve efficiency.
How to Access the New Services?
Commuters can check bus timings by contacting the PMPML helpline at 020-2454 5454.
This initiative is expected to significantly benefit daily travelers, reduce traffic congestion, and encourage public transport usage in Pune’s growing suburbs.
