Pune: Purandar International Airport to be Just 12-13 Minutes Drive From Pune Outer Ring Road

Pune, Maharashtra – The upcoming Purandar International Airport has faced criticism for its distant location, but a new infrastructure plan is set to improve accessibility. The Maharashtra government is planning a greenfield connector from the under-construction Pune Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the airport, reducing travel time significantly.
Once completed, travelers will be able to reach Purandar International Airport from the Pune ORR in just 12-13 minutes, making it much more convenient than previously thought. The Pune Outer Ring Road itself is already under construction, which will enhance overall connectivity in the region.
In a major development, the Government of Maharashtra has imposed an ‘Industrial Zone’ reservation on the airport site. This means that the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will soon begin acquiring land for the project.
