Pune: Police Strike Big with Major Drug Bust and Fake Currency Seizure

Drug Trafficker Caught in Yerawada Raid
Acting on a critical tip-off, the Pune Police’s Anti-Narcotics Squad-2 executed a daring raid in the Yerawada area. The operation led to the arrest of a key drug trafficker and the seizure of MD (Mephedrone) weighing several grams and valued at ₹22,00,000. Additionally, incriminating documents were confiscated, bringing the total value of assets seized to ₹23,38,400.

Fake Currency Racket Busted
In another significant breakthrough, Sahakarnagar Police Station nabbed a suspect during a routine night patrol. Upon interrogation, the police discovered 2070 fake ₹500 notes worth ₹10,35,000.
The investigation further unraveled a supply chain involving three individuals from Navi Mumbai and one from Nalasopara, all of whom have been arrested. A connection to a criminal based in Delhi has also been identified, and a search is underway.
