Pune: Police Recommend Dismissal of Two Suspended Cops in Porsche Crash Case

Pune Police have submitted a proposal to the Maharashtra Home Department recommending the dismissal of two suspended officers linked to the high-profile Porsche car crash case from May last year.
The incident occurred in the early hours of May 19 when a Porsche, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old under the influence of alcohol, fatally struck two techies on a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar. Inspector Rahul Jagdale and API Vishwanath Todkari of Yerawada Police Station were suspended for delayed reporting, dereliction of duty, and procedural lapses, including delays in collecting blood samples.
Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar confirmed the dismissal proposal on Thursday. Meanwhile, the juvenile accused has been released from an observation home, while his parents, two doctors, a Sassoon Hospital staffer, two middlemen, and three others remain in jail. The case drew national attention due to alleged cover-up attempts, including blood sample tampering to manipulate alcohol test results.
