Pune: Police Penalize 514 Traffic Violators, Collect ₹7.46 Lakh in Fines During Nakabandi Operation

Pune city police conducted a large-scale nakabandi operation on Saturday, targeting traffic violators across 78 key locations.
The drive, carried out between 10 pm and midnight, spanned major roads, intersections, and traffic hotspots under all police station jurisdictions. A total of 2,853 vehicles were inspected, resulting in penalties for 514 offenders.
Violators were fined for offences such as wrong-side driving, triple-seat riding, and failure to wear seat belts. The operation led to the collection of ₹7,46,350 in fines. Additionally, 72 vehicles were seized during the drive.
Authorities have emphasized that such operations will continue to ensure road safety and strict adherence to traffic laws.
