Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma supervised the drive, which took place between 4pm and 6pm across 78 major roads and junctions in the city. The operation involved all deputy commissioners of police, senior inspectors, the crime branch, and traffic police personnel, who were deployed at nakabandis (checkpoints) to ensure strict enforcement.

In addition to issuing fresh fines, the police seized 371 vehicles that had accumulated heavy fines or repeatedly violated traffic rules. Earlier in the day, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar emphasized that lawlessness on city roads would not be tolerated.

The police have warned motorists of further stern action and urged them to adhere to traffic norms to avoid fines and vehicle seizures.
