Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Organizes Pavanathadi Fair 2025 to Empower Women Entrepreneurs
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is all set to host the annual Pavanathadi Fair from February 21 to 24, 2025, at the PWD Ground in Sangvi, Pune. This vibrant event, organized by the Social Development Department of PCMC, aims to provide a platform for 750 women’s self-help groups to showcase and market their products, fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities.
The fair will feature 750 stalls offering a wide range of products, including home utility items, daily-use goods, and food stalls. Additionally, the event will host cultural programs and a special ‘Jagat Sundari’ lavani performance on February 24 at 6 PM. A highlight of the fair is the ‘Maharashtrachi Gauravgatha’ program on February 21, celebrating Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage.
To ensure inclusivity, stalls have been reserved for differently-abled individuals and the transgender community. The fair will also include municipal corporation stalls providing information on government schemes like Smart City, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The event has received an overwhelming response in previous years, and this year, ₹1.30 crore has been allocated for stall setup, pavilions, sanitation, drinking water, electricity, and other essential services. Adding to the excitement, actor Kiran Gaikwad will grace the fair on February 23, and the program ‘Jagar Stree Shakticha, Sur Grihalakshmicha’ will feature performances by renowned artists.
