Pune: PCMC’s New Administrative Building Construction Progresses Well, Aims for 2026 Completion

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is making significant strides in the construction of its new administrative building, with the project on track for completion by 2026. Since its commencement in January 2023, the excavation work and the construction of three basement levels for parking have been successfully completed. Currently, the above-ground structure has reached the third floor across all four wings (A, B, C, and D), marking steady progress within the 36-month timeline.

This state-of-the-art administrative complex, spread across 8.65 acres, is designed to centralize all PCMC offices, enhancing governance and citizen service efficiency. The ₹312.20 crore project spans 91,459 sq.m. and features four wings with 6 to 18 floors, along with three basement levels.

Key Project Highlights:

  • Sustainable Design: Targets GRIHA 5-Star and IGBC Platinum certifications with solar power, water recycling, and green spaces.
  • Modern Amenities: Includes a Civic Service Center, Multipurpose Hall, Museum, E-Governance Center, and a 125 sq.m. Library.
  • Efficiency & Accessibility: Aims to streamline public services under one roof.

PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh stated, “We are progressing steadily toward our vision of a modern, centralized municipal headquarters. The new complex will redefine civic engagement with seamless and efficient services.”

Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate added, “With basement work complete and superstructure advancing, we are confident in delivering a world-class facility that prioritizes sustainability and accessibility.”
