Pune: Multiple Bullets Fired in Talegaon Dabhade, Spread Panic and Fear
Bullets were fired at seven different locations in Talegaon Dabhade near Maval late Thursday evening, causing panic and fear throughout the area.
According to reports, three unidentified bike borne men fired shots indiscriminately at various spots around 8:30 PM.
The affected areas included Hanuman Mandir Chowk, Gajanan Maharaj Chowk, Maruti Chowk, Rajendra Chowk, Shala Chowk, and Ganpati Chowk. Senior Inspector Pradip Rayannawar confirmed that two rounds were fired at Shala Chowk, while three rounds each were fired at the other locations. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The suspects were wearing masks and they fled the scene immediately after firing the shots. Talegaon police, along with the Crime Branch of Pimpri Chinchwad police, launched a joint manhunt for the suspects immediately after receiving the information. Authorities are currently scanning CCTV footage to gather clues and are urging anyone with information to assist in the investigation.
The motive behind the shooting is not known, although it may be aimed at escalating tensions in the region. The police have registered a case and are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, examining any potential connections between the suspects and other events in the area.
