Pune: MLA Siddharth Shirole takes up the issue of parking of unused buses and neglect of Aundh bus depot with PMPML
Shivajinagar MLA, Sidharth Shirole held a meeting with PMPML officials to address the issue of defunct Aundh bus depot and the parking of unused buses there.
Shivajinagar MLA, Siddharth Shirole, recently held an extensive review meeting with Sanjay Kolte, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of PMPML, along with other senior officials. The purpose of the meeting was to address the issues concerning the defunct Aundh bus depot, which has been a cause of concern due to its current state of degradation with a lot of unused buses parked there.
During the meeting, it was discovered that the Aundh bus depot has up to 70 buses lying idle amidst garbage and rubble. These buses, branded with PMPML logos, actually belong to a bankrupt contractor for PMPML, not PMPML itself. The lenders and current owners’ agents of these buses have assured that they will promptly clear the buses from the plot.
MLA Shirole sensitized the need for resolving this issue promptly to restore the depot’s functionality. He stated, “The removal of these buses is crucial for the next phase of development at the Aundh bus depot. Once the area is cleared of buses, rubble, and garbage, we can proceed with establishing a new, well-maintained bus depot and parking facility.”
