Pune: Metro ridership crossed 1 lakh on June 25, set a new record
The ridership figure of Pune Metro touched 100,170 on June 25 setting a new record in the history of Pune Metro Rail.
On June 25, 2024, Pune Metro Rail registered a ridership of 100,170, the highest ever recorded ridership in a single day.
Since its inauguration, the Ruby Hall to Ramwadi stretch has seen a steady rise in daily passengers. The metro had 17.05 lakh passengers in January before the extension, which grew slightly to 17.76 lakh in February. Following the route expansion, ridership increased to 22.58 lakh in March, 23.81 lakh in April, and 26.16 lakh in May.
For the last few weeks, the service has been recording ridership of 70-80 thousand and reaches 90,000 on weekends.
