Due to the challenging terrain and steep incline, fire vehicles were unable to access the upper part of the hill. Despite this, firefighters successfully contained the blaze at the base using water and fire bats. The operation, which lasted several hours, concluded around 1:47 am.

The fire brigade’s control room also alerted the forest department, which had personnel stationed at the hill’s summit, as confirmed by local residents.

According to fire brigade records, 195 forest fires have been reported in the past two months, with 54 incidents in January and 141 in February. This data underscores the increasing frequency of such incidents in the region.
