Pune: Massive Fire in Pimpri-Chinchwad Guts Four Shops, Three Injured

Pimpri-Chinchwad witnessed a massive fire at Zero Boys Chowk in Nehru Nagar around 5:00 PM on Thursday. The blaze engulfed a mattress manufacturing factory and a furniture shop, causing extensive damage. Three individuals who were in the building above the shops sustained minor injuries and were immediately rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Fire department officials suspect that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. Upon receiving the alert, two fire engines arrived at the scene, and concerns arose that three people were trapped in the building. However, they were successfully rescued without any severe harm.

As the fire spread rapidly, nine fire trucks were deployed to contain the flames. Firefighters battled for over an hour before bringing the situation under control. Despite their efforts, four shops were completely destroyed, and the building above suffered significant damage.
Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and assessing the financial losses incurred.
