Chief Engineer Dharamraj Pethkar of the Baramati division has urged consumers to cooperate by paying their pending and current electricity bills promptly to avoid inconvenience. The division currently has ₹112 crore in pending dues from domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers under the low-tension category. Combined with the current month’s billing demand of ₹257.53 crore, the total recovery target for March stands at ₹369.46 crore.

So far, only ₹166 crore has been recovered in 18 days, achieving 44.93% of the target. To meet the remaining ₹204 crore goal, Mahavitaran has formed dedicated teams to monitor daily collections. Pethkar has also directed employees to ensure that all dues related to transformers in their jurisdiction are cleared.

To facilitate payments, Mahavitaran has kept its official payment centers open even on holidays. Consumers can also pay their bills online through Mahavitaran’s website, mobile app, or by scanning the QR code on their bill. Online payments offer a discount of up to 1.25%.
