Last rites of Colonel Waibhav Anil Kale (Retd.) were held at his residence in Pune.
The 46-year-old officer was killed in the Rafah region of Gaza on Monday after his vehicle came under attack.
Colonel Waibhav Anil Kale (Retd.), Security Coordination Officer in the UN Department of Safety and Security (DSS) lost his life in Gaza on 13 May 2024 while going to a hospital in the Rafah region of Gaza.
Two months ago, Kale enlisted with the United Nations as a Security Coordination Officer. He is survived by his Son Vedant, daughter Radhika and wife Amrita.
