Pune: Land Measurement Fees Deposited for Purandar Airport, Survey to Begin from April 9

Pune: The necessary fees of ₹80 lakh for land measurement related to the proposed Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje International Airport in Purandar have been deposited, paving the way for the acquisition process to begin swiftly. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has assured full cooperation to resolve any hurdles in the land acquisition process.

MIDC CEO P. Velarasu stated that the government has approved the acquisition of 2,832 hectares under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1961, and the required funds for measurement have been allocated. District Collector Jitendra Dudi confirmed that drone surveys for measurement will commence from April 9.

A review meeting was held at the Divisional Commissioner’s office, attended by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Superintendent of Land Records Suryakant More, MIDC regional officers, and other officials.

Dr. Pulkundwar directed authorities to ensure transparency in the acquisition process, update land records, conduct drone surveys, and coordinate with villagers before measurement. Collector Dudi emphasized starting drone surveys from April 9 and informing villagers in advance.

The meeting also discussed issuing notifications, determining land rates, resolving disputes, and transferring government and forest land to MIDC. Joint measurements will be conducted in seven villages: Vanpuri, Khumbharvalan, Udachiwadi, Ekhatpur, Munjawadi, Khanwadi, and Pargaon.
