Pune: Fire breaks out on Bhandarkar Road, Near Kamla Nehru Park
A fire on the seven-story building’s terrace was reported to the Pune Fire Brigade control room at 12:58 PM.
An office made of metal sheets and sliding panels caught fire on the terrace of the seven-story building “Karan Sohail” on Bhandarkar Road at 12:58 PM, according to a report sent to the Pune Fire Brigade control room.
Erandwane and Kothrud dispatched a fire engines in response. The firefighters went to the seventh floor to make sure nobody was trapped when they arrived.

After starting to spray water with hose pipes, they were able to contain the fire in about twenty minutes. Cooling is being done at the moment.
This incident did not result in any casualties or injuries. The structure has multiple offices and is used for business. A significant disaster was avoided because of the firefighters’ prompt action, which contained the fire and stopped it from spreading.
A number of employees were also removed from the building by the firefighters. It’s still unclear what specifically started the fire.
Approximately twenty firefighters, including fire officers Rajesh Jagtap and Gajanan Pathrudkar, are actively working at the scene under the direction of Fire Chief Devendra Potphode.
