Pune: Class 12 Student Jumps from Second Floor Due to Exam Stress
Pune witnessed a distressing incident on Tuesday when a Class 12 student, unable to cope with the stress of the state board exams, jumped from the second floor of an exam hall in Narhe. The incident occurred half an hour after the English exam began at the examination center.
According to Audumbar Ukirde, Secretary of the Pune Divisional Board, the student first fell to the first floor and then jumped again. The education department’s flying squad was present at the center during the incident. The injured student was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
This year, the state board, education department, and district administration had implemented strict measures to prevent malpractices during exams. However, this incident highlights the growing concern over exam-related stress among students. Authorities are yet to release further details about the student’s condition.
