Pune: Bus Cleaner Dies After Falling from Top of Luxury Bus on Ganeshkhind Road

Pune: A tragic incident occurred early Friday morning when a 29-year-old bus cleaner, Sanket Devidas Chailwal, lost his life after falling from the top of a luxury bus on Ganeshkhind Road. The incident took place around 4:15 am.
According to PSI Shamal Patil from Chatushrungi police, Chailwal, a resident of Baramati, had climbed onto the bus roof to hold up low-hanging overhead wires obstructing the bus’s passage at the entrance of the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management.
Chailwal successfully ensured the bus passed under the wires without causing any damage. However, as the bus entered Ganeshkhind Road, the driver applied brakes for Chailwal to come down. Unfortunately, the sudden jerk caused him to lose his balance and fall from the roof of the bus, resulting in a severe head injury.
Chailwal was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The police are investigating the incident further.
