Pune News: A shocking incident occurred in the Gurunanaknagar area of Bhavani Peth where a gang brutally assaulted a brother and sister following an argument over honking. The gang attacked the young man by striking his head with a stone, leaving three people injured in the incident. Khadak Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the gang members involved.

The assault took place when the 28-year-old complainant’s brother was passing through the Guru Nanaknagar area on Saturday (April 27). A dispute erupted between him and a group of individuals over honking his car horn. The victim’s family resides at Jeevanjyoti Society in the same area.

Following the argument, the accused attacked the victim in front of the society, even tearing his clothes during the assault. Hearing the noise, the 28-year-old complainant, his sister, and their grandfather rushed to the scene. When the complainant questioned the accused about the attack, the gang abused and manhandled him, his sister, and their grandfather.

During the confrontation, the accused struck the complainant on the head with a stone, causing serious injuries. When the complainant and his sister tried to intervene, the gang escalated the violence by throwing stones at them and creating an atmosphere of terror outside the society. The gang also abused their grandfather and even threatened to burn their house.

The complainant, along with his brother Harsh and his sister, sustained injuries in the assault. A case has been registered against a resident of Kashewadi, Bhavani Peth, along with five to six other individuals at the Khadak Police Station.

Upon receiving information, police officers promptly arrived at the scene and have started an investigation into the matter.
