Pune is set to host a live music concert by the renowned singer Arijit Singh on March 16 at the Gahunje Stadium, Maharashtra Cricket Association, under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits. Organized by Plantos Venture Pvt. Ltd., the event is expected to attract a massive crowd, potentially causing traffic congestion and law and order challenges in the area.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and safety, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory, including road closures, alternate routes, and parking guidelines. Commuters from Pune and Mumbai are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Key Traffic Adjustments:

  • Vehicles from the expressway should turn left at the Dehu Road exit, then take the service road via Mamurdi to reach the stadium.
  • Vehicles from the old Mumbai-Pune Highway must take a U-turn at Central Chowk to Sai Nagar Phata for parking.
  • Vehicles from Pune-Bangalore Highway should turn left at Kiwale Bridge and use the service road to the stadium.
  • Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering Mamurdi to Kanetkar Bungalow and Gahunje Stadium from 13:00 to 24:00 hrs.

Prohibited Routes:

  • Vehicles from Ruhiz Biryani in Mamurdi village to Masulkar Farm are prohibited. Use Mamurdi Zakatnaka as an alternate route.
  • Vehicles from Marimata Chowk to Kivale Nala are prohibited. Use Krishna Chowk as an alternate route.

Post-Event Traffic Management:
After the concert, vehicles are prohibited from heading towards Mumbai and Kivale via Mukai Chowk and Kivale underpass. Drivers are advised to take a left from Mukai Chowk, pass Sameer Lawns, and proceed through Kivale village.

Appeal to Drivers:
Drivers are urged to follow designated routes, avoid internal roads of Mamurdi village, and maintain single-lane driving on narrow service roads leading to the stadium.
