No Paper Leak in Maharashtra Class 10 Exams, Says Education Board

Mumbai, February 21, 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune, has refuted reports of a question paper leak during the Class 10 Marathi (First Language) examination. The board has clarified that the viral content circulating online was misleading and did not originate from the official question paper.

Clarification on the Alleged Paper Leak in Jalna

Reports surfaced on certain media platforms alleging that the Marathi question paper was leaked at the Zilla Parishad High School, Badnapur (Center No. 3050) in Jalna district. However, after verification, the board found that the pages being circulated did not match the original question paper but were instead from a private publisher. Additionally, some handwritten notes containing a few questions and answers were discovered. The board has taken serious note of the incident and directed a detailed investigation, ensuring strict action against those responsible for spreading false information.

Misleading Viral Message in Yavatmal

A similar situation arose at examination centers in Mahagaon and Kothari, Yavatmal district, where reports suggested that the Marathi question paper had been leaked via mobile phones. However, the board clarified that while some content was circulated online, the actual question paper had not been compromised. Authorities have been instructed to register a criminal case against those spreading misleading information.

Smooth Conduct of Exams in Mantha, Jalna

At the Zilla Parishad Prashala examination center in Talni, Mantha taluka, Jalna district (Center No. 3436), a large number of parents had gathered outside the premises before the exam. The police intervened and ensured their removal before the exam commenced. No disruptions were reported, and the examination proceeded smoothly.

Board Secretary Devidas Kulal reassured students and parents that the examinations were conducted fairly and without any paper leaks. He urged people to avoid believing in unverified information and confirmed that necessary legal action will be taken against those spreading false reports.
