Mysterious Metal Object Falls from IAF Aircraft in MP’s Shivpuri, Damages House – Watch Video; IAF Calls it Non-Explosive Aerial Store

In a startling incident on Friday, a heavy metal object believed to have fallen from an Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft caused extensive damage to a residence in Pichhore town, Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The object crashed onto the roof of local teacher Manoj Sagar’s home around 11 a.m., shattering two rooms and sending debris crashing onto a car parked nearby. According to eyewitnesses, Sagar was having lunch with his children while his wife was in the kitchen when a sudden explosion shattered the roof. A massive pit—nearly 8 to 10 feet deep—was formed in the courtyard, and the blast vibrations were strong enough to be felt in neighboring houses.
Police quickly responded to the scene and cordoned off the area. In a statement shared on social media, Shivpuri Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathor confirmed the object fell from the sky and struck Sagar’s house. “There were four members in the house, all are safe. Police and administration team is on the spot,” Rathor added.
The Indian Air Force later tweeted on X to confirm this incident.
The IAF regrets the damage caused today to property on ground, near Shivpuri, by the inadvertent drop of a non-explosive aerial store from an IAF aircraft, and has instituted an inquiry into the incident.

Sub Divisional Officer of Police Prashant Sharma described the object as “extremely solid” and said it bore burn marks, suggesting it fell from a significant height. He added that while it is suspected to have fallen from an Air Force jet, confirmation can only come after further investigation.
Authorities have contacted the Gwalior Airbase of the IAF, and an expert team is expected to arrive for detailed analysis. Investigations are underway in coordination with the Air Force and other relevant agencies to ascertain the nature and origin of the object.
