New Toll Rates Per Kilometer

The updated toll charges for different vehicle categories are as follows:

  • Car/LMV: ₹2.06/km (previously ₹1.73/km)
  • LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle): ₹3.32/km (previously ₹2.79/km)
  • Bus/Truck: ₹6.97/km (previously ₹5.85/km)
  • Multi-axle Vehicles: ₹13.30/km (previously ₹11.17/km)

Cost Impact on Travelers

With this hike, a full journey from Nagpur to Mumbai on the 701-km expressway will now cost approximately ₹1445 for a car or light motor vehicle. This marks a notable increase from the previous fare.

The Samruddhi Mahamarg, also known as the Maharashtra Expressway, has significantly reduced travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur. However, this toll hike may impact the affordability of long-distance road travel, particularly for regular commuters and logistics operators.

While toll revisions are a routine part of expressway management, motorists will have to factor in these higher costs when planning their travel.
