Mumbai Metro 3 Project Completion Set for December 2024
Mumbai, Maharashtra: The Maharashtra Government, in its recent cabinet meeting, has committed to finishing the Mumbai Metro 3 project by December 2024.
Originally slated for completion by September 2024, the first phase of Mumbai Metro 3 will connect SEEPZ (Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone) to Bandra Kurla Complex.
The decision, overseen by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, involves allocating Rs 1,163 crore directly to the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation, bypassing the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
The project, now 98% complete, has seen its budget revised to Rs 37,275.50 crore.
