Flight operations at Mumbai airport were suspended for an hour on Monday and local trains were delayed amid unseasonal rains, accompanied by a dust storm. Soon after the storm, Mumbai traffic police said that vehicular movement was slow at Pooja Junction (Wadala) North Bound and Freeway Tunnel Trombay South due to the fall of the hoarding.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had previously issued a yellow alert for certain parts of the city for May 13, warning of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and dry, gusty winds, especially in Thane and Raigad districts.
