In a terrifying early-morning incident, a private bus traveling from Pune to Mumbai burst into flames on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Ozarde village. The fire, which broke out around 5 AM today, completely destroyed the Shefali Travels bus, but miraculously, none of the passengers were harmed.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus was speeding when it lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle. The impact sent it crashing through the expressway’s iron railing before it skidded off the road. Moments later, flames engulfed the vehicle, turning it into a charred wreck.
Swift Response Prevents Tragedy
Firefighters from Vadgaon and Talegaon Dabhade rushed to the scene, along with the Devdoot emergency response team. Their quick action prevented any injuries, though the bus could not be saved.
Shirgaon Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Authorities are examining whether a mechanical failure or human error led to the accident.
