Many of parts of Maharashtra are currently reeling under extreme hot and humid conditions, making the weather very uncomfortable.

Most of the regions in the state are currently enduring high maximum temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius. Even the minimum temperature is hovering around 22 to 24 degrees, making the nights also warm and sultry.

All this, coupled with high humidity levels are making the heat unbearable. Yesterday in Pune, the relative humidity was recorded at 60 percent. High humidity and temperature combine to make a sweltering cocktail of discomfort, making the fans and air coolers useless.
