In a move to accommodate last-minute property registrations before the new fiscal year, sub-registrar offices across Maharashtra will remain operational this weekend—March 29, 30, and 31. The extended hours aim to help citizens complete their paperwork before the updated ready reckoner rates take effect on April 1.

The decision comes amid a significant rush in March, as property buyers and sellers hurry to finalize deals under the current valuation charts. Udayraj Chavan, Deputy Inspector General of Registration (HQ Maharashtra), issued a circular on March 24 directing offices to stay open to meet registration targets for FY 2024-25.

Officials have been instructed to ensure smooth operations and handle the expected influx efficiently. Authorities are urging the public to take advantage of the extended working days to avoid delays and last-minute complications.

For further details, individuals can contact their nearest sub-registrar office.
