Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar announces mutliple relief measures for those affected by rain
Pune News: Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra today visited the flood affected areas of Pune and met with officials to oversee relief and rescue operations.
He even the visited the situation control room to personally take stock of the situation and the ongoing rescue operations.
During his visit to Pune, he announced many relief measures for those affected by rain and flooding. These measures are:
- Those who have suffered property damage to due and floods will be assisted by state government and the local municipal corporation after a proper survey of the loses incurred.
- The students who missed their ongoing state board 10th and 12th board examinations will be provided with another opportunity to write the exams. An official announcement with details is expected soon.
- The state government and the local municipal corporation will bear the medical treatment expenses of those injured due to heavy rain and flooding.
NDRF and the Indian Army’s assistance has been sought to deal with any situation arising out of the current climatic conditions prevailing in Pune district. Citizens are urged not to panic.
Ajit Pawar also visited the situation control room and took updates from police and municipal officials about the relief and rescue operations.
