Jammu-Vaishno devi Helicopter Service to Resume from June 18, Check Details
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will start the helicopter service from Jammu to Sanjhi Chhat on June 18, 2024, to help pilgrims seeking darshan get there quickly.
Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, announced that the SMVDSB will start the helicopter service from Jammu to Sanjhi Chhat for pilgrims who want to visit Bhawan in a single day.
The Shrine Board will offer two packages: ‘Same Day Return’ (SDR) for Rs 35,000 and ‘Next Day Return’ (NDR) for Rs 50,000 per person.
According to officials, in the SDR format, pilgrims will receive battery car service to Bhawan upon arrival at Panchhi Helipad, a special darshan slip, ‘prasad’, a priority ticket for the cable car to offer prayers at Bhairon Temple, battery car service on the return to Panchhi Helipad, and a helicopter ride back to Jammu airport.
Board officials also stated that the NDR package includes rooms at Bhawan and ‘Atka Aarti’, in addition to all SDR amenities.
Notably, the helicopter service is currently only available between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat, at a one-way cost of Rs 2100 per person.
