Infosys offering attractive perks for employees willing to relocated to Hubballi

Infosys is offering relocation incentives of up to Rs 8 lakh to employees willing to move to its Hubballi development center, which became operational in 2022 and spans a 50-acre campus capable of accommodating 5,000 professionals.

According to reports, the company encouraged employees to consider advancing their careers at the Hubballi center, stating in an internal email, “It is your turn to go glocal and consider pursuing your career at the Hubli DC.”

The relocation incentives are available to junior employees at job level 2 who are willing to move to Hubballi from any other Infosys location. These employees will receive a relocation allowance and additional cash incentives, disbursed in five instalments over a 24-month period following the transfer. The total incentives vary according to the employee’s job level:

  • Junior employees at job levels 2 and 3 will receive Rs 1.2 lakh.
  • Senior associates will receive Rs 2.5 lakh.
  • Technology leads at job level 5 can receive up to Rs 5 lakh.
  • Mid-level employees will receive Rs 6 lakh.
  • Senior delivery managers at job level 7 will receive Rs 8 lakh upon completing two years of work in Hubballi.

Infosys, however, did not respond to queries from the media persons on this topic.

Earlier this year, Industries Minister MB Patil expressed intentions to reclaim the underutilized land allotted to Infosys in Hubballi, citing the company’s failure to meet job-creation targets. This issue was discussed in the assembly after BJP MLA Arvind Bellad accused Infosys of not creating adequate jobs despite receiving land at subsidized rates.
