HMD Strikes a Chord in India with New Music-Focused Feature Phones and Renewed Rajasthan Royals Partnership

Human Mobile Devices (HMD) is doubling down on India’s feature phone market with two new music-centric models—the HMD 130 Music (₹1,899) and HMD 150 Music (₹2,399). Designed for audio lovers, these phones pack loudspeakers, dedicated music buttons, and marathon battery life, proving that feature phones still hold strong appeal in Tier 2 and 3 cities.
Music Meets Durability
Both models feature a 2500mAh battery, offering 50 hours of playback and 36 days on standby, along with Type-C charging and Bluetooth 5.0. The HMD 150 Music stands out with a scan-and-pay feature—rare for feature phones—while the 130 model includes built-in UPI support. Scratch-resistant displays, dual flashlights, and text-to-speech in Hindi and English add to their practicality.
Cricket Connection Strengthened
HMD also renewed its partnership with IPL’s Rajasthan Royals as their official smartphone partner for the 2025 season, blending tech with India’s cricket craze. Ravi Kunwar, HMD India’s VP, highlighted plans for an entry-level 5G smartphone soon, expanding their reach beyond feature phones.
With reinforced corners and vibrant color options, HMD’s latest offerings aim to hit the right notes for budget-conscious users who value durability and entertainment.
