The prices of key summer fruits, including watermelon, melon, and papaya, have risen in Pune’s Market Yard due to increased demand. Rates have surged by ₹2 to ₹5 per kg, while the price of lemons has jumped significantly by ₹200 per 15 to 20 kg bag. Traders attribute this price hike to higher consumption as temperatures rise.
