Samruddhi Mahamarg witnessed yet another tragic accident early this morning as a luxury bus traveling from Pune to Nagpur collided with a truck near Ashta. The horrific crash resulted in the death of the bus driver and left 15 to 16 passengers injured, raising serious concerns about road safety on this high-speed corridor.

The collision took place under the jurisdiction of the Mangrul Dastagir Police Station. Reports suggest that the luxury bus, carrying around 30 passengers, was moving at a high speed when it crashed into a truck. The impact was so severe that the front of the bus was heavily damaged, and the driver lost his life on the spot.

Emergency services, including police personnel from Dattapur and Mangrul Dastagir stations, along with traffic police and an MSRDC rescue team, quickly responded to the accident. The injured were promptly transported to the rural hospital in Dhamangaon Railway for medical attention.

This incident has added to the growing list of serious accidents reported on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. The highway, known for its high-speed traffic, has been a site of multiple fatalities and injuries in recent months. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash and are urging drivers to remain vigilant and prioritize safety while traveling on this route.
