The Colloquium of Legal Research, India A-Y (Answer to Why) commenced on February 5, 2025, at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa. This three-day event, organized by the Conference Committee, School of Law, is being held in collaboration with Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UniRio), Brazil, and the University of Gdansk, Poland.

The Honorable Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque, Judge of the High Court of Kerala, graced the inaugural session as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he emphasized the growing importance of legal research in shaping judicial perspectives and policy-making.

A Platform for Intellectual Exchange

The colloquium’s theme is vast, encompassing 143 sub-themes, aiming to explore and critically analyze multiple aspects of legal research and practice. The event includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, and paper presentations, providing a dynamic platform for intellectual dialogue and professional networking.

This first season of the colloquium is privileged to host internationally renowned legal scholars and professionals. The lineup includes nine international resource persons and 14 eminent Indian professors, all contributing their expertise on a diverse range of legal topics.

With a robust academic agenda, the colloquium is set to be a significant milestone in legal research and education, fostering cross-border academic collaborations and shaping the future of law and policy.
