In a bid to ease travel congestion during the Holi festival, Central Railway has announced 48 additional special trains on key routes, connecting major cities such as Mumbai and Pune with destinations like Mau, Danapur, Banaras, and Thiruvananthapuram. These special services aim to accommodate the surge in passengers and ensure a smoother travel experience during the festive season.

The special trains will operate on high-demand routes, with multiple trips planned to cater to passenger needs. Here’s a breakdown of the major services:

  • LTT-Danapur-LTT Bi-Weekly Special – 6 trips
  • LTT-Mau-LTT Bi-Weekly Special – 8 trips
  • LTT-Banaras-LTT Bi-Weekly Special – 4 trips
  • Pune-Danapur-Pune Bi-Weekly Special – 6 trips
  • Pune-Ghazipur City-Pune Bi-Weekly Special – 8 trips
  • LTT-Samastipur-LTT Weekly Special – 4 trips
  • Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Weekly Superfast Special – 4 trips
  • CSMT-Kanniyakumari-CSMT Bi-Weekly Superfast Special – 4 trips
  • LTT-Thiruvananthapuram North-LTT Weekly Special – 4 trips

These special trains will include various class accommodations, such as Sleeper Class, AC-III Tier, AC-2 Tier, and General Second Class, ensuring options for all travelers. Additionally, designated luggage and guard’s coaches will be available.
